November 17, 2012: A California State University Long Beach environmental studies class visited the Cadiz Ranch today to learn more about the Cadiz Valley Water Project. The Ranch visit was planned as part of a field outing for the class, which is studying various themes important to the California desert region. The visit included a tour of our ongoing agricultural operations and some of the property’s water features, including the existing wells and the Water Project’s pilot spreading basin, which is used to test and monitor aquifer characteristics. Cadiz technical staff was on hand to answer questions about the Project and the area’s vast water resources.
